John Garcia Joines QOTSA Live!
Cees 22/12/2005: On the 20th December QOTSA was joined live by John Garcia the vocalist from the groundbreaking rock band KYUSS. An event fans have dreamed about for years. Find the torrent to the flac files in the torrents section!
Eye Witness report:
I knew the Garcia thing was going to happen. Once they came out for the encore Josh said "I want to play some old shit... some really old shit..." Then this long haired figure walked out. He was barely lit but I knew it was John. I started screaming, "Holy shit!!! Holy fuckin shit!!!!!!!!" People around me thought I was insane. I can't speak for everyone in the place but from where I was (back by the sound board area) it didn't seem like people knew what was going on even when lights came up on John. I mean yes there were the die hard fans who knew but it seemed a lot of people were either in silent shock or just thought John was some guy out to check mics. Once the songs started people caught on in a big way. I literally fell back and I had to be held up. I never got to see Kyuss live. I have several bootlegs and a few live recordings but this was actually Garcia and Homme on stage doing it. I couldn't stop smiling or screaming. People who know me who have been with me to many many Queens shows (this was my 22nd) have said that they have never ever seen me that excited or happy. I really got faggy and almost cried. Troy, Alain, Josh, Joey, John sounded amazing. I mean amazing. Crisp, clear, and powerful. I gotta say I don't know if Kyuss in its hey day could have been this sharp. Josh is more skilled - his sound more refined. Plus there's the added knock out punch of a 2nd guitarist and that guitarist is Troy. To some these may be fighting words but to that I say holy fuck man that shit was amazing. This goes down as one of the best shows I have ever been to...ever.

Cees 22/12/2005: Over the years and through the woods the first live DVD from QOTSA is in stores! Make sure you get your copy for it is absolutely awesome!

Cees 14/12/2005: So what, I am busy with RL at the moment ;). But big changes are coming though, I am planning on a mayor Anniversary in January when this site will be one year old.
