Both are very informational but I wish to read more about traditional archery.
Jerry Hill's Stalker Deluxe - 55# Smooth drawing longbow but the handle is too narrow for comfort. Also kicks a little.
Arrows - Created by a great bowyer from Riverside California, Don Brown. Wood arrows are not as long-lasting as aluminum or carbon but it is much more beautiful.
Arm-guard - Also created by Don Brown
Flemish Bow-string - Don Brown again! What can I say, I like this guy's stuffs.
Shooting-glove - Can't remember the brand - I owned it for seven years and it fits well.

I started archery using a compound in 1986 and switch to the longbow in 1995.
Why the Longbow?
I actually started out using a compound bow when I was sixteen.
An old Martin M1-Tiger - I didn't have a lot of money so I could
not afford a sight to go with it. That was fine though, it was a
good bow for beginners and I had fun using just my skill to hit
the target. When I was Eighteen and with a little more money I
bought A Martin Firecat with sights, stabilizer, etc. I tuned it
perfectly and I can hit the target consistently at 30 yrds.
Something was missing though - satisfaction. Sure, I can hit the
target but it was so effortless and I was relying more on the
equipment than on my own skills.
In 1995 when I finally got tired of constantly tuning, looking at
the sight, changing cables, and the physical weight of the bow, I
started looking for an alternative. I found the Jerry Hill Stalker
Deluxe in a Gander Mountain Catalog and decided to order it.
When it arrived, I shot it a few times but the hand-shock was a
new experience for me and frustrated, I eventually stop doing
archery... I was also busy with work and my art and I couldn't
find the time to do it.
Eventually though, the archery fever took over again and I
bought myself a new set of arrows and headed to the Pasadena
Roving Archers range and shot a few rounds. The hand-shock
did not bother me as much this time - maybe because I have
forgotten how a compound bow felt like. I did well that day
hitting the bull-eyes a few times at 40 yrds. and another archer
complimented me on how good I am for someone using a stick!
That was the key! I enjoyed the feeling of being as good as a
person with all the tricks and and technology with just a stick and
what nature has given me. If I miss the target, I can only blame
myself and not the equipment. It is a nice feeling.

Sept 30, 2002 : Wooohhhoooo I recieved my traditional hunting recurve bow from Csaba Grozer himself! it's so light! I can't believe there is minimal handshock. I think this is my new favorite bow :)

My newest bow is a Don Brown Kobra Striker. It's an unusual bow. It's a recurve with static ears that has influences of a mongolian type bow. It's incredibly fast and it is just incredibly smooth. I love this bow too!! Check out his webpage: http://dbtraditionalarchery.com/home_page.htm
March 99 - Bought myself a new bow. It is a Grozer Mongolian type bow! What a joy to shoot and surprisingly accurate. I haven't touch my longbow in quite a while but that is alright, archery is archery no matter what type of bow is used.
I just bought my first recurve bow (9-26-98)! It is a Martin Hatfield TD 55#, no sight etc. . I love this bow! I still enjoy the longbow but I am impressed by the recurve's smoothness and speed.
