I started shooting archery at age 22 and started shooting competitively at 26. I have won several local competitions and three state championships. I have also medaled at several national level events.
I enjoy the sport and love to share it with others. I have gotten my father and more recently my girlfriend involved in shooting archery.
I do bowhunt and enjoy it. But shooting target, whether it be 3D or face, is more appealing to me because I can do it year round and I don't have to worry so much about the wind direction to my target. :-)
Archery is a very individual thing. Sometimes I get a little irritated with people who tell me I should change my equiptment to something else because "it's better", and then during the shoot, I beat the pants off of them using my gear. Sometimes, your way is the way to go. As long as you are consistant. Remember, it's the person behind the bow that makes it count.
