I began in archery at 89's, but since a child I love bows and arrows. My first bow was a stickbow made of bamboo. I was 12 year old. In 1989 I bought an brazilian bow made by Master Co. It was a light bow (#50). I made the arrows by myself. Well, I began hunting with that bow wich gave me a lot of pleasure moments in the woods. At city I live in Brazil(Goiania-GO), I made many "sons" in archery. Has a club here in Goiania, with some of them shooting there. Alias, the club is a initiative of mine. Today I prefer shooting with a select group of friends that like of hunt too.
Personaly, I tell my friends and lovers of archery that do not let the romance of archery goes down like putting much "gadgets" at the bow. If you shoot (like me) a compound, it's ok, get rid off the sights, mechanic releases and other stuff! If you shoot a long bow or a recurve, or even a self bow, it's ok, you are a traditional archer! But most of all, keep high the romance of archery!
The archery is the last link betwen the ancient and the modern man!
