I'm currently shoting a Hoyt Gold Medalist 68", 43# @ 29". Shibuya Carbon Extreme sight (well worth the money, highly recommended). Longrod/v-bar setup using Arten Carbon stabilizers 30" and 10" (a Beiter Centralizer 35" 4 tuners i in the post) 16 strand Fast-Flight string. A/C/E 570's X7 2014's 29.25". Shibuya DX button (again highly recommended, very smooth, under 20GBP) Spigarelli flip rest (not long fitted seems OK but it is quite noisey)
I started shooting way back in 1991 at the tender age of 13. I became interested when I seen my local club shooting one fine sunny day (one of the very few) and pestered my mum to let me give it a go (she was a bit hesitant at first but it was safer then a Air Riffle) and thats been me since. I have "elevated" to the position of club President and as of last year I am now a Coach.
All the best of gear will not make you shoot one bit better, if anything it will magnify a lot of faults......
All other gems of thought are on my web site Archery for Beginers.
