Started by joining a re-enactment group!
Got hooked on longbow and ditched the re-enactment.

I have been shooting longbow off and on for 9yrs, and I make my own arrows and strings....I have attempted a couple of times to make my own bows, but with disastrous results .....however I am still trying.
My latest attempt at a longbow has taken me 4.5yrs so far :)
I enjoy longbow both as a sport and a past time. I would like to see more information about the subject posted.
I feel that there is a lot of snoberyin archery and it does not only come from the traditionalists. There seems to be a lot of splits throughout.
