There seems little point in having both of these groups as most people tend to double post to both of them. Also, they seem to be dominated by American bowhunters and compound archers. Nothing wrong with that I suppose, but its not for me. Enjoy lighting a few fuses though!
I have just replaced my Marksman KG1. I really enjoyed this bow, but I needed to purchase new limbs for it and short of having them made specially for me, they were unobtainable.
So, I did something a bit radical. My local Archery Shop were selling Hoyt GM at £140.00, but looking at them and comparing them to a second hand one, they seem to me to have lost some of the original quality of build. The casting does not seem so sharp and the finish cannot be compared wityh the original. However, as everyone knows, they are still a very good bow. BUT, he was also selling a 'Cartel 2000'. I had never heard of these befor, but I have to say that the quality of the machining and finish is excellent. It is very light and I have heard rumors that Mr Park has more than a little interest in it's development. This may of cousre be just that, a rumour.
Cutting it a bit short, I bought one, together with a pair of Win & Win Fomax limbs.
I have been using these for a couple of weeks now and I am delighted with it.
