It was January 12, 1999 that I joined archery.I didn't take archery that seriously at first.Until one day a group of Philippine training pool archers went here in Dumaguete City to train for a while together with Jennifer Chan who was going to the Sydney Olympics 2000, and also Joy Mariņo who's also a member of the Philippine team.
They encouraged us to be serious on this sport.It sounded so funny for me at first coz i really didn't have plans on getting serious on archery.But it turned out the other way around.Now i am really serious with archery.I have goals to fulfill. I wanna be a "champion".
I love archery so much! It's now part of me. I'd do anything for archery!
Stay calm.Believe in yourself.Release every arrow with passion.My coach once told me that "what the mind conceives the body achieves".Effort matters so much in archery. Practice, practice would make you a champion."The will to win is important but the will to prepare is vital".
Archery is a mind game.You have to fight your fears. Always believe in yourself.When you play archery, you're playing against yourself.You have no control over your opponent.
