October 1995 was the start of a wonderful career. I became fascinated with the sport of archery. With the oppurtunities that awaits me, I have decided that this sport suits me well.
January 1996 was my first tournament, and with my 30# one piece bow, I won a bronze individually and with my teammates took the team gold.
April 1996 was my second tournament, and again won another bronze with my 36# home made bow. We were not able to play in the team event because my teammate got struck with measles.
May 1996, the 2nd Philippine National Games was the greatest tournament I have played. Though I was a nobody at that time, I had so much fun and experience.
June 1996, I shot my first arrow with my 40# bow. A complete set-up bow which I can truly say my own.
After 3 months, I have finally shot all the four distances and achieved my first FITA score of 1029.
April 1997 was my first outdoor tournament (by the way, all my previous tournaments were held indoors). I scored 1093 and acheived my 1000 FITA star badge.
One month later, on May 1997, I scored 1103 and received my 1100 FITA star badge.
As for now, I'm training hard and looking forward to the next tournament.
