Outdoor FITA and Double FITA Records   Portsmouth and Half Portsmouth Records

As a result of bad record keeping we are uncertain of what were the highest scores shot before about 1990 by members of Sagittarius. Eventually this should provide a more stable record of Club Records.

The best 3 best-scores are listed. (This is to have a bit more names on the list)

Outdoor FITA and Double FITA Records

As far as we can remember there have been very little excursions to FITA-type tournaments by members of Sagittarius. This is probably caused by the low mobility of students and the experience needed to shoot a FITA. After our participation in the "Grand Prix des Pays Bas" in Weert on 16 and 17 May 1996, we have a new category to add to our records list.

FITA
36 Arrows at each of four distances (90, 70, 50, 30 metres for men and 70, 60, 50, 30 metres for women).
At 90, 70 and 60 metres a target of 122 cm is used, at 50 and 30 metres a target of 80 cm is used.
Double FITA
Usually spread over 2 or 4 days, with either a full or a half FITA per day.

Stars...

With shooting FITAs you can earn "stars" for shooting above a certain score. In the field "Star" in the tables below is the star score before the date the score was shot. If the score was cause for a star it is marked at the end with a "*" after the total score.
Stars are given for scores above: 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300 and 1400

(From the Target Archery FAQ)

Star Avg. how does it look
1000 6.94 only a star should be possible if one is really serious about archery
1100 7.34 star on black badge also possible with lots of practise...
1200 8.33 star on blue badge that's what most FITA archers are dreaming about ;-)
1300 9.03 star on red badge worldclass
1400 9.72   Congratulations! Either you have made some mistake in your score, or you have set a new world record!
