This page contains the result of the work I did in the context of my final project at the department of Computer Science at the University of Twente. The project was intended to find out more about possibilities of running IP multicasting on top of ATM and possibly implementing it. My supervisors were Fokke Hoeksema (TIOS), Pierre Jansen (SPA) and Richard Bults (LAB), which made the project a multi-disciplined affair.
In February 1999, I received a copy of the book
"IP
Multicasting, Concepts and Applications", by Marcus Goncalves and
Kitty Niles. The authors refer to my thesis in Chapter 1 to explain
the concept of layers in Protocols. I haven't read the book completely
yet, so I can't say if there are more references....
The book is published by McGraw-Hill.
The University of Twente has a full license to this work.
